The word ‘Corrupt’, when used as an adjective, literally means, “utterly broken”. Corruption is a common problem in many countries of the world. Most of the third world countries are grossly affected by this disease. There are hundreds of causes of this problem. There are social, economical and political reasons, which cause the genesis of corruption in a community. 2. There is no doubt that the basic root causes of corruptions are the social reasons. In many societies, corruption has a normal exposure and people do not take it much negatively. The place where the nature of flow of money is not available and some people becomes too rich and other remains as poor; the probability of corruption increases there in geometric rate. There is a basic difference in today’s society than that of 50 years back. Earlier days all people of a society used to know the wisest man of their community, now the trend is that all know the richest man of their society and hardly anybody knows who the most educated person among them is. This difference speaks about an ethical decay of honor and respect. The society where this thing has arrived, that society is or already had ethical crash landing. In this type of society the rich people have made their life style easy and smooth and the others dream to attain that life style by all means. This type of social urge makes a negative motivation on all. 3. Corruption gets its start up from society. Corruption is never welcomed in a good society. But in many societies, corruption has made an acceptable look. In many places corruption has made an acceptance in social climate. Power hunting attitude of some people and rat race for power is generating corruption. People wants their administrative jobs accelerated by offering money and they never think that it is a bribing case; rather it appears as a service charge. As to the question, ‘How much Corruption is acceptable?” the answer can be fiercely debated. 4. Barack Obama helped secure a $25,000 grant for the Blue Gargoyle in August 2000, an organization that was headed by Capers C. Funnye, Jr., Michelle Obama’s first cousin once removed. Obama as the Illinois Senator reportedly received a home loan of $1.32 million at a rate of 5.625 percent, although the average going rate on that day according to two different surveys was between 5.93 and 6 percent.
