The centre is situated in Dinas Bran School who also have full use of the facilities during term time, using it for Physical Educational needs. The centre is therefore extremely busy during this time. This report will investigate whether the centres facilities are adequate for the needs of the people of Llangollen. The investigation was based on researching and analysing the community and recreational needs and assessing if the Llangollen Community Leisure Centre furfills these needs. The research will involve extensive consultation with the local community and I will be looking into the issues surrounding the centre. Its widely known there can be a situation with the parking facilities and therefore it is necessary to look into these to see what could be done to improve this situation, and also speak to people using the centre to get there views and suggestions as to how to improve this situation. Llangollen does not have a swimming pool at present and with the nearest swimming pool around being a fifteen minute drive away it is not so easy for people to get too. It is also widely known that the people of Llangollen have for over 20 years been campaigning for a swimming pool in Llangollen, so again, it was felt important to look into peoples opinions of this and investigated if there was any way one could be built at the centre. Outline of action taken A questionnaire was designed to find out information about what the local residents of Llangollen think about the Llangollen Community Leisure Centres facilities. At the same time got individuals were used to complete the questionnaire talked to them about their opinions of the facilities. The questionnaire was done using 30 individuals in order to get a very good idea of people of Llangollen’s feelings about what they think of the facilities available. The questionnaire contained 10 questions designed to find out things like if people are members of the gym, what age ranges are going to the gym, whether there are more males than females going, how often they are using the facilities, there reasons for attending the centre and are they happy with the facilities and the staff working the Llangollen Community Leisure Centre.
