The Role of Global Politics
The topic of this essay is going to be the global politics and differentiating features. To start with it, it is necessary to give a definition about what is going to be explained. For it, the following definition is a good example:
“The art or science of government or governing, especially the governing of a political entity, such as a nation, and the administration and control of its internal and external affairs.” (Website definition www.answers.com)
It has to give an answer to three basic questions: What we can expect in the future (With a brief review of history, the future could be a reflection of the past),What does it mean right or left (Witch policies have to make to outline the main differences of these two points of view), What type of politics are the major economic powers (Difference between several countries) and How can affect politics to business in a global world (which type of strategy should have and how could be affected by policies). The features that differentiate the diverse major global policy are the consequence from some basic premises which are going to be explained afterwards.
A familiar refrain in our time, according to Shudir Chella Rajan (2006, p.7), is that humanity is at a crossroads with respect to multiple threats to its preservation as a species: poverty, widespread violence, dangerous illnesses, environmental catastrophes, and social breakdown. And, according to D´Alembert (2009, p.53) “war is the art of destroying men, politics is the art of deceiving”.
The Blackwell Encyclopedia of Political Thought defines politics as:
“The process whereby a group of people, whose opinions or interests are initially divergent, reach collective decisions which are generally regarded as binding on the group, and enforced as common policy”. (The Blackwell Encyclopedia, 2005)
The main question is, What is power? And, as we can know, who has the resources and power is the government and, depends on the policy they choose, our environment is going to be conditioned because it modifies the work and opportunities, market laws and much more. In discussion with Rothgeb (1993, p.17- cited in James L. 1995, p.177) about the main question, he said:
“Power may be defined as a goal to defining in a confusing variety of ways. It could be political resources or as the ability to control other and/or to manipulate one´s environment as well as the outcomes associated with the events occurring within that environment”.
